The beauty of this design is enhanced by the wire structure that holds the glass vase. When I was doing my training, all dried material had to be placed into something rustic or ceramic. You can get away with the glass container thanks to the wire support that the vase rests in and a little trick of filling the inside of the container with twigs. Just gives a bit more interest in texture.
This informal design is based on the ‘just picked’ – handheld posy technique. I do this type of design often and it usually starts with a wonder around the garden picking this and picking that and gathering them all into my hand.
Once you have gathered all your materials it’s as simple as placing everything down inside your container.
You can use all fresh or artificial materials to create this design. It’s is sort of an all-round design with highs and lows to be views from all angles. Great for placing on a rustic wooden table for a lunch or
informal dinner.
Super easy and there are no set rules!
