Today I have another simple sewing school project: how to make a quick and easy quilted baby bed blanket, or padded floor rug.
Here is a quick and easy way of creating and making a quilted bed cover or padded floor rug for a baby. These make for wonderful gifts or if you are like me and have family members arrive with a small baby and there is nothing to cover the floor these guilts look as if you spent hours creating.
Things to gather:
- Sewing machine
- Printed fabric of your choice
- Dacron/ or wadding to place between top fabric and backing
- Matching thread
- Pins, tape measure/ruler and sharp fabric scissors
