Today I have a floristry design tutorial focusing on all things GREEN and simple! Just recently I was approached by a lady ever so distraught wanting a quick fix and suggestions as to how to do something floral when you really don’t have time, nor do you want to entertain but feel a bit of effort will impress.
This then is the start of a new series – floral designing in a hurry using whatever you can find around the yard or next door or perhaps at the market…
First up is what I call 'simply green' .Green is such a great harmonizing colour and so seriously easy to work with. As indicated, find anything green and start assembling!
- I found a green glass leaf dish… even a green bowl would do. I like that this leaf dish is shallow but has enough of an indent to hold a swallow of water.
- A few green magnolia leaves or even camellia would work. Just as long as they aren’t too fussy for water.
- A green hydrangea head, or perhaps you can find I green chrysanthemum, or succulent in the same colour-way.
- A few green apples or berries.
