I love this approach to creating something unique to hang in your home or make as a gift. It’s a little like paint by numbers or diamond art, but this technique involves fixing individual little silk flower petals to a print. I was commissioned several years ago to reproduce a Monet in flower petals and during a recent spring clean, I rediscovered the finished work and thought this would be a great thing to share with those interested in art for the love of it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Things to gather:
- A print on card or canvas, in a size of your choice.
- Silk flowers in the colour way of the print.
- Hot glue gun or glue pot and glue sticks.
To colour my flowers I used Viviva Watercolor Sheets, which you can get from here: http://bit.ly/AstarsWatercolors
