I thought that this design would be lovely placed into an elongated trough. This trough started life as an inexpensive terracotta garden trough which I painted using my handy DIY chalk paint recipe:
1/3 cup plaster of paris mixed with 1/3 cup water then blended into a cup of flat matte acrylic paint in a colour to suit.
The flowers I use for this design are:
- 4 or 5 pieces of long white lilac
- White roses
- 4 white peonies
- 2 trailing ivy bushes
