I was at the flower stand the other day and I heard someone say ‘When did cabbages become flowers?’ From behind the ladies, I said, ‘and don’t they look amazing beside those lovely white roses!’ We started a conversation and I promised a segment demonstrating how they could be used in a floral design.
The great thing about Kale flowers is that they last such a long time and can be used in both formal and informal floral designing. I’m teaming them up with white roses and berries.
For this design you will need:
- Urn or container of your choice
- Wet foam to fill cavity of urn
- Several stems of white berries or sprigs of blue gum
- Several stems of green and white Kale flowers
- 1 bunch of white roses
- Water to mist once design is finished
- Snips for cutting.
