I might have mentioned this previously but I don’t like seeing the stems of flowers in a vase, especially artificial. The ones I have in my collection here at Prestige Botanicals are very realistic, but even so, visually I don’t find them appealing!
I have several ways of addressing the matter and really love a mercury paint or mirror paint finish effect. The silver-grey finish is a really lovely look to set off the blue gum or eucalyptus, lavender pink roses and lush tonal values of the lilac. The paint finish is super easy to achieve, but because it needs to be applied out-doors or in a well- ventilated area, I’ll share how to do this on my Instagram page: http://instagram.com/astarsplace
