Japanese-Inspired floristry design: Succulents and River Stones into Sake Glasses

Channels / Flowers & Floristry Tutorials

During my trip to Japan I was invited to try a slushy Sake drink. It was an inexperience to say the least and such fun shaking the frozen sake to a slushy consistency. The Sake, well that was ok, but it was the glasses that really took my fancy. The glasses got gathered up at the end of the night and made their way home safely packed into my bag.

As is the custom whenever we travel, once home we have a memorial dinner in which I cook something that took my fancy and we share with everyone our adventures and photographs. The Sake glasses my inspiration for table flowers. TBH by the time I did all the chopping & prep for the Shaba Shaba, the table decorating turned into a rushed affair, but this is so simple to put together and everyone loved the result!

Into each Sake glass, add clean washed white small aquatic grave.
Pour in clean water.
Place a succulent into each glass and run them along the table!
