I love this type of design. I use artificial foliage which always looks great in any décor, and then when I have an event coming up, all I have to do is insert fresh flowers. As a general rule you would use grey foam when working with artificial or permanent materials, but if you use green wet foam, your base is ready to receive the fresh flowers. All you now need to do is insert flowers of your choice. Once they are past their best, simply remove and leave it as a Stand-Alone or Stand-By permanent arrangement.
