This is a quick and easy floral design using a living potted sunflower wrapped with a sushi mat or burlap and jute string.

Of all the emergency quickly put together designs for in a hurry when I don’t have access to what I want or haven’t any fresh flowers, I have found the garden shop to be the best place for finding that ‘something’ flowering.

Once purchased and if displaying in my home, I either use an existing container/urn and place several clustered or grouped together.

Or, take a sushi roll or mat and roll to wrap directly around plant’s container.

Or, and this I love the most and I’ve used it several times for quick inexpensive decorating at weddings:
Take a piece of burlap and simply wrap pot and tie off with jute string. These grouped in 3’s on a wedding dinner table look wonderful.

I like that the plant is still growing as they last much much longer. After the event they can be planted into your garden!
