A Simple Design of Dogwood Blossoms

Channels / Spring Flowers

I think that dogwood blossoms far outshine cherry or the other blossom families. The size, the beautiful white flowers with their darling little detailed petals, make these exceptional specimen blooms that really can hold their own or solo in a vase.

It might be autumn here and the blooms might not be out, but if like me you just love them, today’s design is to share just how magnificent just two stems can look in a vase. Thank goodness for permanent botanicals to have on standby when the passion calls.

Plus, I’ve got a tip on how to make that glass vase they rest in, look like they are in water. NO, not the crystal or artificial water, but everyday Elmer’s washable clear glue. It’s fantastic and does not damage the artificial stems. Perfect!

Things to gather:
- 2 stems of artificial dogwood or you could use fresh if you are lucky enough to have the fresh on hand.
- 1 or maybe 2 containers of Elmer’s clear glue
- Glass vase, the one I’m using is 17” high with a 3” opening.
